Outnumbered, But Overflowing With Love

There’s something truly special about being invited into a family's world, even if just for a short time, to capture their love, joy, and connection. This recent maternity session was one of those moments that left me smiling long after I packed up my camera.

This beautiful mama is expecting another baby boy—her third! That officially makes her the only girl in the house, and yes, she’s outnumbered! But if there’s one thing that stood out during our session, it was how deeply loved and cherished she is by the boys in her life. From the way her husband looked at her with admiration to the way her two little ones giggled, played, and hugged her tightly, it was clear: she is their world.

The boys were full of energy, fun, and the sweetest little personalities. It didn’t take long for them to warm up to the camera, and soon they were showing off their best smiles, their silliest faces, and their most tender moments with their mama. There was no shortage of laughter and playfulness, and in between all the action, I captured those quiet, heartfelt moments that truly reflect the beauty of this growing family.

This family’s kindness and love for one another was so evident in every interaction. It reminded me why I love what I do—preserving moments like these, moments that tell the story of a family’s love and anticipation as they prepare to welcome a new life into their home.

To this amazing mama: though you may be the only girl in the house, you are surrounded by so much love. And something tells me that baby boy #3 is going to adore you just as much as his older brothers do.
